Fort Carson Deserter Sentenced For Raping Teen

A former Army soldier who pleaded guilty to snatching a 14-year-old girl from a bus stop and raping her in a parking lot has been sentenced to at least 35 years in prison. Miguel Alonso Contreras-Perez, 24, pleaded guilty in November to kidnapping and sexual assault. He can be incarcerated for life if the state Parole Board deems him a continuing risk and will be on lifetime supervision if he is ever released. Police said he kidnapped the girl as she waited for a city bus to take her to school. Contreras-Perez pulled up and asked her if she wanted a ride and, when she refused, got out of the car and forced her inside.Posted by stupefied
