Rape victims testify of being bound, gagged
Full story: Philadelphia Inquirer
Drain was arrested in November 2002, after detectives were able to match his DNA - on file from a 1993 attempted-rape conviction - with a blood drop from the first attack. Wiping away tears, the third victim - the woman who pointed to her daughters' photograph and begged her attacker - testified that after she was bound with duct tape and raped, she discovered she was pregnant. "I was scared, I was panicking... . I didn't know if it was the rapist's baby or my boyfriend's baby," she told the jury. "I didn't want to have my rapist's baby." The woman sought genetic testing through amniocentesis to try to determine if the baby was Drain's. But after three weeks with no results from the testing, she said she decided to have an abortion, even though she was against it. A test of the fetus later revealed that Drain was not the father.Posted by stupefied
